NO BAKE PEANUT BUTTER BARS

My Quick and Healthy No Bake Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bars are perfect for a healthy snack when my sweet tooth strikes!!! These are definitely one of my most popular made recipes made by you guys, so I guess its time to get then up here on the blog!!!

They take less than 10 minutes to make with only 5 ingredients! The perfect healthy and filling snack! and come together without an oven (yahoooo!!!! 🤗)

I like to batch make these because they go so fast in our house so just double or triple up ingredients below and you can freeze these no bake energy bites in an airtight container for up to 3 months! Or store in the fridge for up to a week.

They can also be made as a protein ball shape with or without chocolate chips (check other variations below) and are perfect as a snack or pick me up or a quick breakfast before working out!

What are the calories per serving?

This is a question that gets asked a lot and I always answer that it really depends on the brand of products you use but they normally are around 300 for 1 bar serving and 150 per ball ( with chocolate chips)

INGREDIENTS:

Makes 6/7 Bars or 16/18 protein balls.

6 Tbsp unsalted, natural creamy peanut butter

4 tablespoons pure maple syrup or honey

150g of rolled oats

50g ground nuts or granola for extra crunchiness ( optional, recommended)

70g Dark or milk Chocolate for Topping bars

Or For Protein Balls: 70g chocolate chocolate chips.

Variations of added extras to try adding into these beauties:

  • Shredded Coconut

  • Cranberries

  • Chopped Walnuts, Pecans or Almonds

  • Cocoa Powder

  • Hemp Seeds

  • Chia Seeds

Method:

For bars: Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper or baking liner. Set aside.

In a mixing bowl, add peanut butter and maple syrup. Mix together well. I heated the bowl over boiling water to soften mixture or pop in micro for 20 secs.

Add oats, crushed nuts or granola. Stir and fold until thoroughly combined. For Bars: Put this mixture into the prepared baking pan. Using a rubber spatula, smooth into an even, tightly-packed layer. Set aside.

For Balls: add chocolate chips or other variation options and roll mixture in hands into ball shapes. And place in fridge can be stored for up to a week.

For bars: Heat chocolate if using, over boiled water and stir until melted and smooth.

Pour this chocolate mixture over tray for bars.

Freeze for 30-40 minutes, or until firm.

Remove from freezer and slice bars into 6/8

Enjoy!

You can store in fridge for up to 1 week.

Another Frequently asked question:

What do I do if its too dry?

If the mixture seems too dry try adding a splash of water. I do 1 tablespoon at a time. This helps bind everything together. Alternatively you can always add a scoop more of peanut butter, honey or maple syrup to bind everything up!

I hope you try them out if you haven’t already!!! They are ones you’ll make time and time again, that’s why they made it onto the Blog!!!
